Ok so I'm doing this. Nov Dec Jan were hard for the gym it had me depressed and ready to sell..... nah it wasn't that bad but it was hard. The responsibility it takes to run this place is huge and its bloody hard work. Still I wouldn't change it for the world. I love the look on the kids faces when they grade and when they start running around for their warmup. I love it when they are so proud that they brought a friend. or learned how to tie their belt. When a parent says hey how do we become members it really makes me smile inside I know that not only I have done my job but the kids, and parents watching have done theirs as well. The kids have been polite and helpful the parents have been friendly to new faces and are great role models within the dojo......... New people see all this and I'm sure it influences their decision as to whether N60 is for them or not. I look at some daycares and think heck Id never send my kids there, I don't want people saying that about our dojo.
We have some new projects on the go. I'm looking at running a bus around Whitehorse and picking up a load of kids for free training twice a week. I have found a sponsor to cover gas and a driver if we need one. I hope this works out and turns into something really special. The people I have told have had great feedback on it.
I told Danna Id leave at 10pm so I'm going to go do an hours karate training since I have a grading in a months time. On that subject we are planning for Chris Sutton to come up and do a self defense seminar and my COBRA black belt test, he asked if I was going there or if he was coming here, plus I'm working out my trip to Virginia, it looks like its really on the cards this year a JLFS black belt is something I really want.
Anyway off to train.
